I love burgers, I'm a big big fan. From the quick & casual smash burger that leaves grease stains on a paper sack to the elevated pub burger that may show a bit more finesse. But I think a line has been crossed with the overindulgent “luxury burgers” that have fresh truffle, gold leaf, foie gras, rare cheeses and an alleged wagyu beef patty. A burger is just not the time or place for certain ingredients.
