Mango Habanero Burger

Words from the wannabe chef:

This burger definitely hits better during the summer and I actually recommend using a plant based patty for this one! beef definitely works but I think a plant based or turkey burger works better with the mango habanero flavors! And I know I say this all the time but REMEMBER, these recipes are not set in stone. Play around as you go and make things the way you like them. This is only a guideline :)

Ingredients

- 1 patty of your choice (beef, turkey, plant based, etc..)

- Buttered brioche buns

- Red onion, thinly sliced

- Butter lettuce

- Heirloom tomato, sliced

- Goat cheese

- 1/4-1/2 cup mayo

- 1 mango, roughly cubed

- 1 habanero pepper

- Juice of 1 lime

- 1 garlic clove

- 1/2 tsp orange zest

- 1/2 tsp turmeric

- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

- Salt to taste

Method:

Begin by making my sexy Mango Habanero Mayo. In a blender, add mayo, mango, habanero, lime juice, garlic, orange zest, turmeric, paprika and salt. Blend until smooth and set aside in the fridge (just a friendly little reminder from uncle Moody, a recipe is just a guideline. Do whatever makes your mouth happy.

Grill or pan fry a patty of your choice. Don’t forget to add your goat cheese on top after flipping the first side and covering with a lid to get that cheese nice and melty. Torch if needed.

Spank some buttered brioche buns on a pan and toast. To assemble, slap on some of that sexy Mango Habanero Mayo to your toasted bottom bun, add your lettuce, tomato, onion and  patty with melty goat cheese. Then top off your ultimate summer burger with your remaining bun that’s covered in that sweet & spicy sauce. Enjoy babes
